CVE-2025-13761
Description
GitLab has remediated an issue in GitLab CE/EE affecting all versions from 18.6 before 18.6.3, and 18.7 before 18.7.1 that could have allowed an unauthenticated user to execute arbitrary code in the context of an authenticated user's browser by convincing the legitimate user to visit a specially crafted webpage.
Summary dbcve.org
Cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in GitLab CE/EE versions 18.6.x before 18.6.3 and 18.7.x before 18.7.1 allows unauthenticated attackers to inject malicious JavaScript that executes in authenticated users' browsers via social engineering (convincing users to visit a crafted webpage), potentially enabling session hijacking and account takeover.
Mitigation
Upgrade GitLab to version 18.6.3, 18.7.1, or later. Review user sessions and consider rotating credentials if exploitation is suspected, as the attack targets authenticated user browser contexts.
