Adobe Commerce 2022-02-16 CVSS v3.1
CVSS
9.8
KEV

Description

Adobe Commerce versions 2.4.3-p1 (and earlier) and 2.3.7-p2 (and earlier) are affected by an improper input validation vulnerability during the checkout process. Exploitation of this issue does not require user interaction and could result in arbitrary code execution.

Summary dbcve.org

Adobe Commerce (Magento) versions 2.4.3-p1 and earlier, and 2.3.7-p2 and earlier, contain an improper input validation flaw reachable during the checkout flow. Because the issue is exploitable without user interaction, an unauthenticated remote attacker can submit crafted input during checkout to achieve arbitrary code execution on the server.

Mitigation

Upgrade Adobe Commerce to a version that contains the official fix for CVE-2022-24086 (newer than 2.4.3-p1 / 2.3.7-p2) following Adobe's security advisory, and review the checkout integration and any custom modules for untrusted input handling. Additionally, restrict external access to the storefront and admin, ensure WAF rules are in place, and audit the environment for indicators of prior exploitation given the unauthenticated RCE impact.
