A Reflected Cross-Site Scripting vulnerability allowed the execution of arbitrary Javascript code on the Static Site Editor in GitLab CE/EE 12.10 and later through 13.0.1

A reflected cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in GitLab's Static Site Editor allows attackers to inject and execute arbitrary JavaScript code by embedding malicious scripts in user-controllable input that is reflected back without proper output encoding or sanitization.

Mitigation

Update GitLab CE/EE to version 13.0.2 or later to receive the security patch, or apply the specific XSS mitigation to the Static Site Editor component.
